DAW (Digital Audio Workstation): Steinburg Nuendo: Nuendo is one of the top sequencer/mix/editing programs on the market. Praised for its surround mixing elements, it can do much more. This is my "pro tools"! Many know and like the name Pro Tools, but I choose to stay away from it for now. I've used it alot, and must say it is useful, but not for me. It is more useful for me to have a custom system with the perferred mixer-editor-scoring-synths-editor-midi programing, (which most are linkable to Nuendo using VST simulated connections), than to have one system that can do alot, but what if I want something different? Plus the mix engine used for makeing final files uses HQ algorithims second to none! Steinberg Cubase: Scaled down version of Nuendo. Takes Nuendo's place when low budget projects are brought in. Cakewalk Sonar: basic tracking and mixing program. Ease of use is the game. Emagic Logic: Logic has been known for its programing and midi elements. Useful for synths, samples, and other programing needs.
